Will they ever ameliorate?

As i switched on my idiot box, today's most 'concerning news' bumped into me. Though this news has nothing to bother me nor the general mass, but the reporters will create a fuss about it. This news channel was broadcasting a debate on "Has Aishwarya Rai Bacchan lied to the director? Can't a heroine be allowed to get pregnant?''. Following the debate for just few minutes I figured out that the issue was not what the reporters repeated consistently rather it was 'has the pregnancy been a hindrance in the clause.' The debate was such that the heroine as others has her fundamental rights, has a personal life and thus the case if filed by the director will be null and void on the other hand there was the concern shown towards the film production put on stake.
Who know's whether the parties have the dispute settled but MEDIA will play their role.
I won't be further delivering the details of the heated discussion between the eminent speakers from the acting fraternity. Instead I would want to seize attention towards the nuisance being created by the media at times. Sometimes the actual depth, the root of the cause is left untouched because the channel raises a issue with pure commercial purpose and the speakers debate on a topic leading nowhere close to conclusion. It's there ill notion that news concentrating on public figures mostly from film industry(this is what i noticed past few days) is more welcomed by the mass. Eventually the subject is over-hyped as the fact remains that its not the only channel covering it.
As for now it seems that the soul motive of these channels is to cash profit from an hour's debate on any crap subject. I agree that debate can happen on any issue but this being a very broad platform needs to be more considerate about their task of selecting topics to be generalized. One of the reasons of the deteriorating status of news channels is the bid to sell the story first and with the growing number of news channels the spin is in!
Moreover the unkempt and the shouting reporters fail to verbalise the news effectively.
When a kid i was also forced to hear to the news on DD channel at my granny's place. For me it was difficult to comprehend the 15 min news 5min in English ,5min in Hindi and rest 5 for deaf then. But today i m ready to go through the 5 or 10 minutes news reporting that's so precise.
Mass media plays a very critical role in guiding the general public. Whatever is being aired on this interface helps people extrapolate and this must be strictly understood by them. They need to be fully aware of their role to bring out the facts or truths while remaining unbiased. I believe that now the news channels are also aware of these public reactions and i wish the change is observed soon.

I totally agree with u.I think i have wasted a lot of time listening to these debates on TV and always failing to get a conclusion. It just the oratory and stats which one can perceive..no opinions.
The doordarshan news makes sense and even the news on radio of 15 minutes is to the point.
