AND SO I DO ENJOY WAITING ALONE :) :)

Do you remember any of the rainy, sunny or snowy day, any venue -station, garden, mall or cafe, any minute, hour, day or the month or may be the year when you were kept waiting? getting restless for a desired event to occur or someone to meet? It can be any event from a plan of watching a movie, or a tour to hill station or for that matter examination results and it can be anyone, your relative, your friend or an acquaintance . I m sure everyone must have one or many remembrance of such kind.
What do you actually do when the receptionist or a maid requests you to wait prior to your appointment ? What do you think after receiving numerous calls from the person saying" dear just 2 min i'll be there"? I have seen many getting pissed off in such situations. They often leave the place after a coffee or two. The stern visage of some is indicative of the outrage that is likely to happen when the two party's meet the next time.. :P
Be it any gender, postponement does create nuisance. Its natural to start putting blames on the other for spoiling the mood or being so irresponsible. The person waiting either abuses the responsible fellow if possible or start making impulsive wrong opinions about the other.
Roshni was enjoying the pitter-patter raindrops while waiting for her mother after school hours.'How long will you wait dear?' i asked but this innocent girl spreading her tender arms feeling the rain, replied back 'Dunno, but till then i will enjoy playing'.This was expressed with the MILLION DOLLAR smile. She was completely naive to this act of waiting which most of the public considers to be a waste of time. This friend of mine took me close to my memories.
I remember the day I had told my friend that I hate waiting alone. But after getting accustomed to the deed I found a similar way of overcoming it. I had been asked to wait at the reception numerous times while probing sponsors for the college fest, last year. At one place the mirrors arranged in the reception area caught hold of my attention towards appearance. 'Do i look fat? Should I go for a hair cut?and many other thoughts kept me occupied till the appointment was arranged. At other offices the interior and the decor left me gazing. I strted thinking about the material and often the expense and was it worth?:D
Hence no time was wasted.
It also reminds me of the 4 month long vacation before joining the college. Yes i was waiting for the college to begin but never was the day when i had irritably asked 'when will it start?' I had engaged myself in dance classes, nata class, outings and hindi cinema. (pure relaxation)
What was Roshni doing? This kid was unknowingly perceiving the act of delay in a way that contributed to her happiness . The radiant smile while joyfully jumping in the puddles clearly expressed her love for rains. She was spending time with herself exploring the things she loves to do, building some conclusions which might not be of any help today but will make sense tomorrow. The girl wasn't preparing any speech to be delivered to her mom in some complaining tone rather she was utilizing the frame of time from her life span by getting close to herself. When you are alone waiting for something better start making something. 'something for yourself'. In all the hustle bustle around spending time with self is getting neglected. It will be wise enough to utilize this indefinite period in knowing oneself, untying the knots of our own thoughts, doing whatever pleases and thus feeling enlightened.

I detest waiting too.Punctuality is something I value. But if at all I am caught in public waiting for a friend without a book or a laptop, there is nothing I can actually do but sit and wait.So I might as well use this time in my benefit and engage myself into something and keep busy!like you said why let others spoil my mood.

Heyyyy ashwini this is sagar..... Very nice and important blog..... Just somethings r there that I want tell u abt this.... Actualy waiting is very normal thing in everyone's life.... But the reactions u r mentioned is completely depend on two important things first the person who keep u on waiting and d second ur patience... First if d person is very imp u will might get irritated or u can think that ur time is worth for waiting that person.... And if d person is not imp u will not think abt waiting.... U will walk out from that place..... So reaction is completely depend on the person and ur patience..... And practically any one can do anything in that period of time,, but that also depend their patience.... But in this world there r some peoples whose life is all abt waiting.... Waiting for good perpose is always keep u happy that my thinking..... Its very nice blog ashwini.... Cya.... Take care...:-)
